Dr. Yvonne Bergland is Dean for Instructional Services, Resource Development and Research. She is a Mesa College alumna, graduating in 1978 with an A.S. in Medical Record Technology.
Her career at the college includes services as an adjunct and a contract faculty member and Dean of Health and Natural Sciences. She has also chaired the AB 1725 Committee, co-chaired the Safety Committee and served as president of the Districtwide Management Association.
Presently, Dr. Bergland is the Chair of the Staff Development Committee and its Flex and Classified Staff Development Subcommittee; Administrative Co-Chair of the Program Review Committee; Administrative Co-Chair of the Research Committee; Administrative Co-Chair of the Catalog Subcommittee; Accreditation Self-Study Co-Chair and a member of the Curriculum Review Committee and the Academic Affairs Committee.
Dr. Bergland earned her bachelor's degree and M.A. in Education from San Diego State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Ohio State University.
