John Avorh

Dr. John Avorh is another Mesa faculty member who has changed assignments, a change he requested. This semester, he joins the Political Science Department after spending five years as a Black Studies teacher.

Before coming to Mesa in 1995, Dr. Avorh had been an adjunct instructor at the University of Redlands, an assistant professor at College of the Redwoods, an assistant professor at Georgia Southwestern College, and a teaching assistant at Atlanta University. He also taught at institution in Ghana and Nigeria.

Dr. Avorh earned his undergraduate degree in political science and history from the University of Ghana, and he has two master's degrees, one in social science from Syracuse and the other in political science from Baylor University. His Ph.D. in political science is from Atlanta University.
