- Mesa College Application
All new students must fill out an application to San Diego Mesa College return it to the Admissions office located on the first floor of the student services building (I-410) or apply on line at at the District's Application for Admission web site. Returning students who have not attended Mesa College in the past year, will need to submit a new application as well. - DSPS Application and Orientation
The DSPS Application must be completed and signed by the student. It serves as your request for services from us.
The DSPS Orientation is available on line to all students. Viewing the on-line Powerpoint presentation linked directly below and submitting the required DSPS application, Verification of Disability and Certificate of Completion will fulfill the DSPS Orientation requirement.
The orientation presentation will better familiarize students new to the program with DSPS procedures and services. Students who prefer an alternative to the on-line orientation may sign up at the DSPS Office in H-202, or call 619-388-2780 or tty 619-388-2974 to schedule an appointment.
- Attend a Mesa College Orientation
Before registering for classes, you will receive a thorough orientation to San Diego Mesa College's programs, services and facilities through Orientation to College. Orientation provides students with information that will guide them through the matriculation process.
- Placement Test
You may schedule appointments to take the college Math and English Placement Test, with disability related Test Proctoring Accommodations. The Student Service's Testing Center web site includes more detailed information regarding placement testing.
- Verification of Disability
It is the responsibility of each student seeking accommodations and service to provide a comprehensive evaluation verifying the disabling condition and the resulting limitations. For students with a Learning Disability the DSPS LD Specialist must assess eligibility for services.
- Make an Appointment with your DSPS Counselor
Call 619-388-2780 or tty 619-388-2974, or stop by the DSPS Office in H202 to ask any questions you might have regarding our services. When your required documents have been received by the DSPS Department, you will be contacted to arrange a counseling appointment.
